How many people does Sun Wukong carelessly slaughter this time?

I haven't seen this since my Humanities class in 2nd grade. They did away with Humanities immediately after, so 3rd grade and on was all about AMERICA.

Lord_Crocodilicus - 2015-03-23 Coincidentally, 9/11 happened at the beginning of 3rd grade, so maybe it was a reaction to that. If so, that's pretty horrible.

infinite zest - 2015-03-23 That whole day was really weird. I was working at a record store and my coworker was blasting rage against the machine, which I thought was inappropriate. He was a truther right out the gate he was. We had also gotten our CD shipment because it was tuesday, one of which was The Coup's "Party Music," the original cover featuring the WTC blowing up via a digital tuner. Panic really set in about an hour into my work day because I hadn't heard from my brother, who was traveling down from New Haven to NYC that day for a job interview at a place "right by the world trade center." Luckily he slept in and missed it. I got really drunk that night like the world was going to end. OK IZ LJ time over.

Old_Zircon - 2015-03-23 My high school had "humanities" too. It was kind of a cross between world history and literary criticism.

Aww, i haven't seen Barkley in 20+ years, so 5 for that alone.

infinite zest - 2015-03-23 I used to have weird dreams about Barkley. I think it's because I used to play at Berkley Park when I was a kid and got the two confused, but I still think about Barkley every time I go by there. I never really understood his role though: like, Snuffleuppagus was sort of Big Bird's pet/friend, right? In a world where every other animal can talk, you'd think it'd make more sense to kids that there's a distinction between a pet who cannot talk and a friend who can. Otherwise you'll wind up with kids complaining because their dog can't talk when Rolf does..
