Lloyd makes a compelling argument for the reappraisal of berserkers, and this should be required watching for anyone with a casual interest in viking history. What is less than compelling is Lloyd's underlying theme: that "the truth" about berserkers would be disappointing for a 13 year-old boy. On the contrary! Berserkers are badass champions who fight duels and bully people out of their land and property. Every boy likes Achilles, every boy likes Batman; berserkers are their real-life counterparts, and therefore, still cool.
