Can somebody give me a brief synopsis of what's going on here? As far as I can tell Sega publicly called out Chris Chan on Armgate but now they're turning Sonic into Punchy? Do these still end with Sonic and Friends and Sonic Sez? Too many questions.

Xenocide - 2015-07-24

Sonic Boom is the fifth animated series based on Sonic the Hedgehog. The series is set in a futuristic Tokyo fifteen years after a worldwide cataclysm. The story centers on Sonic, a teenage boy who is recruited by the shadowy organization SEGA to pilot a giant bio-machine called a H.E.D.G.E.H.O.G. in combat against monstrous beings known as Eggmen. The series explores the experiences and emotions of other pilots and members of SEGA as they attempt to prevent another catastrophe. It features religious symbolism throughout the series, including themes and imagery derived from Kabbalah, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and Shinto.

Just how many people did evilhomer bite?

Time to nuke PoETV from orbit, only way to be sure.

infinite zest - 2015-07-25

I turned out watching this episode and this is actually in the show! I just assumed it was a fan edit or something. Is this another one of those shows where they just say "do whatever you want with this" to the writers like Ghost Stories?

And SolRo the only way to eliminate us for sure is that big space gun from Command and Conquer. A nuke could result in a bunch of us just feeding off the radiation and becoming stronger!

memedumpster - 2015-07-25

Seriously, SolRo, do you want giant mutant EvilHomers eating the tires off your apocalypse-mobile?

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-07-25

It's called an Ion Cannon.

Nikon - 2015-07-25

You should use the Demon Sword of Paracelsus-series rail cannon for fighting B.O.W.s

infinite zest - 2015-07-25

Yeah that's what I was thinking of! Plus I don't claim to be a fancy scientist or anything, but if you drop your nuke in orbit from your spaceship, wouldn't it just float right back up and get you instead?

EvilHomer - 2015-07-25

Muahahaha! People are thinking deeply and asking more questions! Fly, my children, into the night, and post!

TheOtherCapnS - 2015-07-25

Yea, EvilHomer. THAT'S what you do on here.

Xenocide - 2015-07-25

Holy shit guys, all I did was paste something from Wikipedia with the names changed. STOP STARING AT YOUR NAVELS SO HARD, YOUR EYES ARE BLEEDING.

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-07-25

One could call what Xenocide did the equivalent of a Chronosphere malfunction.

But this is a CC reference, right? Or I guess anyone who cosplays? That's actually kind of cool. In case you were wondering the premise of this episode is that Sonic calls his grey furry friend a "regular person" who shouldn't go into battle with Eggman and has to go to sensitivity training classes. That's actually kinda funny.

But I remember Sonic as an environmentalist disguised as a fun game. For whatever reason I thought shows like Captain Planet or any show getting me to "RECYCLE TO THE EXTREME" were kinda lame, not that I don't think those things are important; Just make better PSAs and don't try to disguise it. So have SEGA just abandoned that completely and decided to troll its fanbase at this point?

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-07-25

The next level would've been an actual hedgehog.

Sanest Man Alive - 2015-07-25

Okay I really really hate this fucking meme and so I wish I could come up with a better comment than this, and I fully deserve whatever punches I get as a result of posting this:
