I totally forgot about my junior prom. For my senior prom, I asked my girlfriend, who was a college drop out at the time if she would go with me and she said no. But I moved to Texas with her later that year.
Also, we didn't have prom proposals back in the mid nineties. You just fucking asked the girl. Usually while wearing a dress.
I never went to prom except for my senior year when my mom basically forced me to go, so she asked a girl's mother to ask her daughter to ask me. So I reluctantly went. She was a cool chick, a punk rock girl with a really good voice who's actually an opera singer now, but she was all dressed up whereas I was just wearing my same Millions of Dead Cops shirt and jeans.. I felt kind of bad.
And we had a fun time, mostly just talking shit about everybody else at prom, but I had a crush on her forever and I couldn't say it, like it would ruin our friendship (also I was kind of seeing a few other people)..
