Tim Samaras was using a retrofitted Edgerton camera designed for photographing nuclear tests at high speed, trying to get lightning at 1 million fps. He's one of the chasers who died at El Reno a few years ago before he got the shot he wanted, this reminded me to go searching, looks like there are some people still working at it-
