Yeah me too. I remember the first time I saw it in theatres, I was in Hawaii with my parents and there was a huge thunderstorm so we couldn't do anything that you'd normally do when you're on vacation in paradise. The feeling of walking out and into what felt like a warm shower was weird, but I hadn't experienced the cold yet that I would when I lived in the Midwest some years later. Upon subsequent viewings on snowed in nights I began to realize that it really is more of a comedy, and understand why my dad was laughing so hard at some of the moments that I thought were supposed to be sad or brutal, etc.
