Yes. Every documentary made now has to be about the JOURNEY OF THE FILMMAKER rather than, you know, the fucking subject of the documentary. It makes them basically unwatchable.

Those shots kinda take away the old magic of nature documentaries. The shots they'd show would look so magical, but then you see in where they have the talking head, how they're just shooting a boring looking tree.

Yeah waah wah wah mugging is annoying, whatever. I learned about a parasite that secretes airsoft pellets and buttjuice-addicted ant drummers and now I want to know more. That's worth all the stars.

Is the mugging really that annoying? The most I got from it was just the pure amazement on how exact and short the time span is for that event.

I'm completely for having the nuanced documentary of Wild America, but I don't think that mugging was THAT bad. Especially since this an entirely different set of symbiosis that I'm aware of in the insect world.

Maybe we can get a football to groin vid that cuts away to the annoying host's commentary about how amazing it is?
