They're hyping the fact that they'll patch it a few months after people buy it.
They have a new system where the more you play the more you unlock, so you don't have to buy the characters with real money apparently.
But I get why they're doing it, since it eliminates the need to make another "hyper super ultra" SF version with updates. Hopefully they don't screw it up, since it seems like they give somewhat of a damn this time. But I'm not holding my breath.
Two Jar Slave
Yeah, I actually think Street Fighter is an example of a game that could benefit from being treated as a microtransaction platform, like League of Legends. Pay for the characters, modes, hats, maps, etc. you want, and you won't be forced to buy a new edition every eight months. (Just as long as you can't pay for combos or other core mechanics.) Good for Capcom for having the flexibility to try this.
I still won't touch it though. I bought SF4 a few months ago, lost 100 consecutive online matches, and said never again. I'm not even terrible at SF--I can beat any of my friends handily--so I'm convinced that either their matchmaking system is broken or the community itself is too skilled to really crack open. Either way, looking back on it now I don't know why I didn't stop after match 40. Where did I think this was going?
Just about everyone still playing usf4 has at least hundreds of hours clocked.

I don't know what's going on here but I like the guy at the end's Something About Mary hairstyle.
Last one I really played was Street Fighter 2, unless you count MvC2. I liked them both, SF2's reliance on actual combos to do something cool and MvC2's "just push every button and you'll probably do something cool", but I found that Tekken was sort of a nice balance between these. I'd probably get SF4 since I've got a 360 that I pretty much just use for Netflix, except I don't have anyone to play with, and by play with, I mean in person. Online FPSes, MMORPGs, etc. are fine but if it's just one-on-one fighting I like playing with my buddy.
My favorite Capcom moment was playing MvC2 over at my local barcade. Before 5 it's all-ages before it becomes more of a nightclub with games, and some kid who couldn't have been older than 10 challenged me by just putting in credits and ruining my storymode run where I could've gotten the high score. I showed no mercy first couple of rounds but then I realized I had to go so I sort of let him win and he was super excited! I gave him a high five even though I could've wailed on him for hours.. :)
Oh, holy shit! Yeah, Charlie! I heard he was back.
Good to see him again. He was one of my favorite characters in Alpha and the Vs Series. His hair is indeed awesome.
Not Guile's lover, no. Charlie is Guile's copilot and special ops team-mate.
Guile's lover is Julia, the older sister of Eliza Masters.
To be fair, if I knew nothing about Street Fighter I would assume from the video that Charlie is Guile's wistful ex.
So...actual copilot or top gun copilot?
