football brings people together

Hooker - 2016-01-30

I'm tempted to say Colorado is the worst state. Obviously it isn't, when you have states like Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama hanging around. But Colorado is really, really awful.

Hooker - 2016-01-30

That said, I'm cheering for the Broncos to beat the Panthers.

Doc Victor - 2016-01-30

You are way off the mark. You didn't mention Oklahoma, Arkansas, or Georgia.

baleen - 2016-01-30

I don't care about football, but you know, they did cheat their way to the last superbowl.

yogarfield - 2016-01-30

Alabama twice and no mention of Arizona? Hooker plz.

infinite zest - 2016-01-30

My brother and sister in law moved to Colorado Springs; he loved it and she hated it. Among other things the elevation made her chest expand to the point where she couldn't fit into the wedding dress she had picked out. So.. back to Port Washington Wisconsin it was. She was a bitch and he's a cheating douchebag so maybe that's not the best gage for judging a state I know from its airport.

Just curious though, because what Hooker said above and my example is definitely not the first time I've heard mixed thoughts on Colorado as being awesome and I should totally go there, or it sucks and I should never go there, without any "meh.. it's ok" like you get with Wisconsin, Minnesota, and a lot of other states.

I have done extensive study on this subject.

Mississippi and Alabama are tied for the worst state.

Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arkansas, Arizona, and Georgia are next.

Those are all way worse than Colorado.

A girlfriend of mine moved to Nashville, TN a couple of months ago, and came back to Portland, OR, and now she's in Atlanta, GA. According to her Facebook it's the best place she's ever lived. Do major cities count in your study? If so, you should put Oregon on your list too.

jangbones - 2016-02-01

oh yes, IZ, it's the entire state, all cities included...for example, Louisiana would be high on the list of worst states but for New Orleans

Atlanta is a terrible city, overpriced and overstuffed, and Athens and Savannah are small and not great

Oregon has lots of lousy parts...every state does but usually mixed in with a few good parts

except for Mississippi and Alabama, which have no good parts

anywhere

Binro the Heretic - 2016-01-30

What awful fucking people.

Doc Victor - 2016-01-30

Obama was a terrific president, I just wish he did something about that nasty AMERICAN football business

infinite zest - 2016-01-30

This used to happen all the time at Wisconsin Badgers games, especially when they were playing a big rival, so they divided up the stadium right down to the bathrooms. The Pats and Broncos aren't really synonymous with Packers and Vikings, but you'd assume they'd know that something like this would happen at such a high stakes game and act accordingly.

Or people can grow up.. either or.

Kid Fenris - 2016-02-01

After the Bengals-Steelers game, I thought for a moment, "Well, at least Broncos fans aren't this bad."

Then I realized I was wrong and I'd see proof of it before the football season was over.

jangbones - 2016-02-01

football fans are the worst

scratch that, second worst

I once had to leave a NASCAR race due to unbearable body odor

it wasn't even that hot out

at Darlington, the Saturday night race got rained out and we went up to shoot some fans body surfing down a muddy hill...one surfer told me it was the cleanest he had been in weeks

I went into the infield at Talladega once, never again, ever, ever

that's three anecdotes out of like twenty

and I did not go to the track much

Jesus

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-01-30

I heard the Pat's fan was an Irish fella by the name of Port.

Port O'San.

Rangoon - 2016-01-30

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?

There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss
