In the Disney short "Duck Pimples", various characters in a gritty crime pulp novel Donald Duck is reading manifest as figments of his imagination.

There's a scene with a police detective is interrogating Donald over the whereabouts of a missing pearl necklace and the wealthy socialite who owned them. When Donald is unable to answer, the detective menacingly says, "We'll make you talk." He then calls out, "CLAAAAARK! THE HOT IRONS!"

A small mustachioed man dressed as a door-to-door salesman complete with sample case pops up out of the book. He lifts his hat to reveal a stack of business cards. The detective takes one and reads it aloud, "Leslie J. Clark: Hot Irons."

That character owes both his name and physical appearance to the real-life Clark.
