well, it IS a computer simulation
It's easy when you recycle clips from movies like "Earthquake." A lot of shows in the 70's and 80's did that.
I always felt that Galactica 1980 had a good concept, but just too cheap and goofy on execution.
"Doctor Z, this simulation is going on for a long tim-" "Shhhhh... I'm almost ready to level my base star."
Doctor Z's plan to slowly ready earth: 1) One of the Colonial warriors blends in as an earth man and poses as an astronaut from Kansas. 2) Said Colonial warrior has a son who grows up to spearhead the Farscape project. That's Kent McCord at 0:53. Yes, I pay attention to stuff like that.
Doctor Z is on that androgynous time I see.
Those Cylon laser blasts look a hell of a lot weaker than nukes. Or shit, even conventional air to ground weapons.
