Police are jumpy. They jump to conclusions. They think BLM is a terrorist organization.

Of course they're jumpy. You'd be jumpy, too, if you had to deal with gang members and terrorists all day long.

Jumpy and racist. All they see is figures that portray minorities youths in urban fashions, and they automatically jump to the conclusion the homies are gangsters.

Well, if you see a young man wearing a snappy blue uniform with the letters NYPD on it, what do you conclude he does for a living?

I'd assume he carries out modern day lynchings disguised as law enforcement. Just kidding, but that's the very opposite of the wild hyperbole you're engaged in.

So you'd assume he was law-enforcement then, would you?

Of course you would, because it's only natural to assume that a person who is wearing the uniform of a group, is a member of that group. There's nothing unreasonable about that.

That's because police have uniforms and badges, gangs don't. Gangs have colors and homie dont wear colors.

Uniforms and colors are two different things. Coasties, for example, have uniforms (the jumpsuits). They also have colors (ot0range and white). Without the colors, you won't know if the person you're talking to is a Coastie - but you'll still see the uniform, still know they're involved in some kind of longshoreman's profession.

Same with gangs. A gang member without colors, you won't know what gang he's in, but you'll still know he's a gangster if he's wearing the uniform. And regardless of which gang he's in - Crips, Latin Kings, Mafia, Juggalos - gangs are bad news!

I mean, you of all people should know this. You ARE a cop. How would you feel if kids were running around with little plastic Pirate figurines, glorifying the Pirate lifestyle?
