While I want to see this, I am getting the feeling the story might be insanely convoluted. Keep in mind this is still supposed to be BEFORE the first Alien film and it still has to tie up a bunch of weird plot theads from Prometheus in addition to leading into Alien (which was initially supposed to be the goal for Prometheus before over-writing and studio meddling got involved). So it just feels like this is getting to be way too much for what was initially supposed to just be a really simple prequel.

So has Ridley Scott just been pulling a "Frank Miller" for the last like 20 years, or is it just me?

Yeah, it looks good, but "Prometheus" looked good because Ridley Scott makes things look good.

I've been burned too many times to be enthusiastic. I'd rather go in with low expectations and be pleasantly surprised.

Seems a little derivative.

I've always thought the Alien universe would work better as an anthology TV series. Like American Horror Story meets Westworld. Never mind, that sounds horrible.

Yup, that looks like more Prometheus garbage again.

It looks like Alien.

Thank God motherfucking Damon Lindelof isn't involved in the writing for this. I tentatively have hope this could be good, unlike Prometheus which was ruined by a garbage "Lost"-like plot.
