As a kid I recall sharing was defined by my patience with being continually hounded to borrow whatever form of entertainment I was playing with (handheld video game, comic book, action figure, etc) for just "2 secs". Inevitably, those "2 secs" ware more than an actual 2 seconds, a lot more. So sharing was more about how much guilt I would feel at a certain threshold of time far beyond 2 seconds wherein I was deprived of my own forms of entertainment.
Conclusion: sharing generally sucked.

Old_Zircon - 2017-02-03 I'm more a fan of giving away stuff I don't use, because if it's stuff I DO use and I share it too much, it usually gets broken or lost or stolen.
I gave away probably 20 things (books, music equipment) in the last month alone, but I'm struggling to remember a single thing I loaned out in 2016.
