Man, fuck that shit, Eric Serra rocks. He has a weird, unique style and I gave props to EON for trying something a little different than a generic composer imitating John Barry (or just being generally mediocre like so-called Barry successor, David Arnold). The studio famously did NOT like the score however. The scene where Bond rides around in St. Petersburg in a giant tank originally had a very Eric Serra-esque remix of the Bond theme which was replaced with a more traditional arrangement. (the original track is on the soundtrack release, though). The closing credits song was a finalized version of a track Serra made for Leon The Professional but which was cut out of the final version (restored however in the uncut versions on DVD etc.)

This is a little unusual for Bond but I really like it a lot.

I played the actual living fucking shit out of Bond and I don't remember this song. The soundtrack I remember was various renditions of the Bond theme, nothing spectacular but it captured the spy thing.. :(

I really was not expecting the second take of some track from the Big Trouble in Little China soundtrack ???
