Wait, the Count ISN'T autistic?

Crunchy Frog - 2017-03-22

Nah, he's just obsessive-compulsive.

poorwill - 2017-03-22

Bert, though, definitely has HFA.

Xenocide - 2017-03-23

He's a vampire who kills people.

Bort - 2017-03-23

Do Muppets even have circulatory systems or is it like sucking a magic marker? No wonder he's purple and distracts himself with numbers.

yogarfield - 2017-03-23

For Xeno

Bort - 2017-03-23

... I wonder if the couple humans on "Sesame Street" are there for the Count to feed on. After the Mr. Hooper incident the Count learned to draw sparingly from his hosts so they can last for years and even decades.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2017-03-22

When are they going to introduce a 30 something manbaby who lives at home, drinks his own semen, sighs frequently when frustrated, and has endured 10+ years of online abuse?

dairyqueenlatifah - 2017-03-22

Soon.

blue vein steel - 2017-03-22

that's Snuffy, the Snuffleupagus

Xenocide - 2017-03-23

They will! Thank you, father!

Lef - 2017-03-22

When did they go blue screen? It's not a good look for muppets.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2017-03-22

They're prepping for the Trump budget cuts.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2017-03-22

Wow that's some half-assed lazy as shit green screen work. You can see a green outline around the puppets.

Speaking of which, have they ever introduce the HIV-positive Sesame Street muppet outside of South Africa?

Lord_Crocodilicus - 2017-03-22

In Australia the puppets teach you not to huff gasoline.

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2017-03-22

The way muppets act, you'd think that they were all somewhere on the spectrum.

Old_Zircon - 2017-03-22

Not Roosevelt Franklin.

Old_Zircon - 2017-03-22

Seriously though, I watched this clip and honestly couldn't tell what was supposed to differentiate the autistic muppet from any other muppet. She just acted like a muppet (with the added benefit of not being Elmo, who really epitomizes everything shitty about post-Henson muppets).

Bort - 2017-03-24

The best I can say about this clip is, Elmo is trying to model parallel-play as a way to play with an autistic kid, without being very in-their-face.

But Elmo, as the most shrieking grating Muppet in history, is probably the worst possible Muppet to demonstrate the process. Kermit would be good, or Ernie, or even the guy that Grover The Waiter serves soup to. Elmo would be enough to send me deeper into the recesses of my mind.

SixDigitDebt - 2017-03-22

This is what happens when you let Bert give out the vaccinations.

Xenocide - 2017-03-23

Everyone learned a valuable lesson about the location of Baby David.

Bort - 2017-03-24

Is it just me or is that a weird name for a doll? "Davey" or "David" I could get behind, but "Baby David" sounds like Elmo has his doll's life mapped out all the way through medical school.

Caminante Nocturno - 2017-03-23

Did they make her look like Dora the Explorer as some kind of jab at Nick Jr?
