Makes AT-ATs look like sleek, efficient jungle predators. I mean, you could just run the same cables and have a robocamera with little wheels or something to move it around right?

I think the idea is that with enough refinement, it will be able to use existing tree limbs instead of installed cables?

Also wheels on cables have the problem of intersections. This would be able to swing from one cable to an orthogonal (possibly unconnected, but nearby) cable.

There are very few crops that grow limbs big enough to support a robot. Not to mention they're spaced far enough from each other that swinging from one to the other is probably impossible.

No, see this has the advantage of needing cables, and also being very slow and inefficient. Also, it seems to need a tech-school geek to switch it over so it can make the next step.

Drones, on the other hand, . . . umm.
