They definitely showed us a VHS tape of Dot and the Kangaroo in kindergarten but I'd completely forgotten everything about it except for (surprise surprise) that synth bass in "Dot in the Pouch of a Red Kangaroo."

I'm surprised I didn't remember this part, this is great.

betamaxed - 2017-06-30 Oh, I didn't know you liked synth music.

Old_Zircon - 2017-07-01 Actually I spent most of this decade almost exclusively focusing on fingerstyle acoustic guitar and before that I was mainly playing in sort of minimalist fringe metal bands where I was the only person who even had a tuner, much less any electronics.
Getting back in to synthesizer music, which I was completely burned out on by the early 2000s, was more out of necessity than anything when a bunch of my music friends moved away about 5 years ago and I no longer had a good place to practice, but it really clicked this time around. Kind of bringing a decade and a half worth of live experience to bear on the kind of things I was trying to do in high school with a portastudio, drum machine and some casio keyboards.

I'll be damned if I can remember anything else in this movie (except maybe that awful clickity-click song), but the Bunyip thing has stuck with me since my wee years.
