Poor Patrick Stewart. Was he really this desperate for cash?

yogarfield - 2017-07-05

Senility hits hard and fast.

Have you seen the CGI Wizard of Oz sequel? He plays a talking tree who is thrilled to become a boat.

SolRo - 2017-07-05

He's been attending star trek conventions since before the parents of the kids that are the target audience of this movie were born.

His tolerance for drek is significantly higher than most human beings.

Patrick Stewart chooses to be in practicality every episode of American Dad and Blunt Talk wasn't any good at all.

SolRo - 2017-07-06

Patrick Stewart; he doesn't give a fuck, except for charities.

SolRo - 2017-07-06

I mean, honestly, the guy is awesome.

He knows he's a great actor. We all know he's a great actor. He does charity work. He gives back to his fans. He doesn't have a damn thing to prove to anyone.

What kind of pompous idiot prick would pass up tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars (or more) for doing a couple lines of silly dialogue in a movie no one will remember in a year?

And lets not forget his 4-wheeler / off-roading hobby that he manages an excuse to indulge in any project he can.

Oh yeah he's no doubt one of my favorite human beings, and a damn fine actor when he wants to be. Plus all of THIS Patrick Stewart had its foundations in Extras, or maybe the Erotic Cakes sketch on SNL.. in either case it worked maybe a little too well because those are timeless and moments like these are.. well choose your emoji wisely I guess.

But yeah I always give him the benefit of the doubt; at this point it's like asking why Morgan Freeman doesn't really do Nelson Mandela anymore or why Brando's final performance was in a video game. I think it's on here, but Stewart once focused all the attention of some Comic-con Q&A away from himself and his upcoming projects to a discussion about domestic abuse and Post-traumatic stress.

He's a bit like Vincent Price, who never really needed to act, because he was independently wealthy (his grandfather invented Cream of Tartar). He just liked playing villains and creeps, and he rarely turned down a chance to do so. Patrick Stewart likes the work, whatever it is.

5 for evil

betamaxed - 2017-07-05

Sony Pictures - 5 stars for being consistently terrible

Nominal - 2017-07-06

If you could stop Trump OR Sony Pictures, which would you pick?

betamaxed - 2017-07-08

Sony Pictures may be terrible but they're not out inspiring people to wear t-shirts that say "Training to throw liberals out of helicopters"

infinite zest - 2017-07-06

Looks a lot like Pac Man. Assume Mishima Zaibatsu's on it?
