I guess their cat didn't see it as an improvement and took a dump right in the middle of the room first thing he did when he saw it. Love cats.

The standard version of SCUD RACE did get distributed in western arcades as "SEGA SUPER GT" but the playhouse-themed track, the only one where the cat was an option, was in the expanded SCUD RACE PLUS, which only ever got released in Japan.
I believe this is the first Sega arcade game ever to have an officially-licensed Ferrari, unlike OUTRUN, where they used a Testarossa without authorization from Ferrari.
Sadly, SCUD RACE never got an official home release; a Dreamcast version was in the works but got cancelled for unknown reasons. It's an arcade game using Sega's Model 3 system, the precursor to Naomi, which the Dreamcast was based on. The only Model 3 racing game ever to be ported up to the Dreamcast was SEGA RALLY 2 which was weirdly reduced to 30FPS even if the arcade game was running at a full 60FPS on less-demanding hardware than the Naomi and many Naomi racing games like F355 CHALLENGE managed the full 60FPS on Dreamcast.

Just another example of how ahead of the times SEGA were in the 90s/early '00s, These days gamers will drop 60 bucks on AAA titles like GTA and TES just to do something like this, and probably never bother with the actual game.

sasazuka - 2017-08-30 Model 3 (roughly 1996-98) is an underappreciated Sega arcade era largely because so many Sega Model 3 arcade games never got a proper home release (the Saturn couldn't handle these graphics and most Sega arcade ports on Dreamcast were from the successor Naomi system) and it's really only been very recently that there have even been emulators that could emulate Model 3 games properly.
Until the emergence of Model 3 emulators, if you didn't have the arcade board of Model 3 games, you couldn't play many of them at all.

sasazuka - 2017-08-30 It's racing against normal-sized cars so it is giant, it's just everything else in the house is scaled up to be the same scale as the cat, so the house is the size of an arena.
