I just checked. This ran for 7 episodes in 2004. I'd say ALF was at his least relevant in the late 90s, but 2004 isn't much better.

Yeah this makes no sense to me either. Also imagine the indignity anyone involved in this must've felt. These sorts of things make me glad that I never worked in the entertainment business.

I can only imagine what sort of irritating gauntlet it was like to work on this show; Fusco was weird about his creation and from what I've heard acted at times like ALF was an actual being.
