Hey man, Kentucky is setting a new, better, standard for political behavior.

Step up, other rapey politicians, and kill yourselves.

The 9/11 reference I think is related to some bullshit story he used to tell about how he gave "last rights" to 9/11 victims or something, which I'm pretty sure isn't true.

Killer Joe - 2017-12-14

"He claims he served as White House chaplain to three presidents. A United Nations ambassador. He says he set up the morgue after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and was the pastor who gave last rites for all of those pulled from the towers.

He’s healed the sick and raised the dead. He helped quell the riots in Los Angeles that followed the acquittal of three police officers in connection with the beating of Rodney King. He loves people of all races and religions, and he had a seat at the table for international peace talks."

All of which is shit, of course. Here's the excellent story that seems to have lead to his death:

Take a look at his voting record.

Being a cold, rotting asshole doesn't change the fact he's an asshole.

And I refuse to show any pity to people who made a career of being merciless to their political/religious opponents.

bawbag - 2017-12-14

Regardless of what he did or didn't do (politically or personally) it's sad that it came to this. Really speaks to the mental state of the person and the guy clearly needed help.

Also, the political left has certainly lost it's compassion in the past year. I've never been particularly left-leaning but I always respected how the majority of the left tried to stay compassionate despite everything.

I suppose the political field is just leveling out, now everyone's a dick.

It astonishmes me there are still people who live with this dipshit fallacy that we somehow have to be respectful of every garbage human life that expires in some deservedly horrible way and that we should feel bad about it.

Fuck you. And fuck this piece of shit. Even if the sexual assault allegations against him are totally untrue, he was a horrible, disgusting, anti-American, anti-human Evangelical, death-wishing theocrat who served no purpose in life but to drain on the rest of the world and the progression of society as a whole. He was an unmitigated piece of shit (yes, even if he called his mom and bought his wife flowers) and fuck him. Fuck. Him. And fuck anyone suggesting that mocking his lifeless fucking corpse is somehow some vast breach of ethics and human morality such that we should feel bad when we, ourselves, are not gross dominionist scum who want to see the world reduced to ashes because of a bronze age fairy tell. Fuck you.

My only disappointment here is that this fucking gutless coward denied his victim (victims) justice and now the poor girl he raped will be basically forever associated with his suicide.

I see the points on all sides.

On the one hand, death is a given for all of us, so it's hardly a facet of our lives that morally cleanses anything, or is an earned relief from anything, it's just death.

On the other hand, lots of better people have killed themselves, so it's unfair to them to praise this method in people we don't like, because no one should really do it.

So, if it helps, pretend he was struck down in an intersection by a historical dialectic.
