Why is he subtitled?

Meerkat - 2018-02-13 Because he sounds like a british army surplus Vince Offer.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2018-02-13
look mum no computer... What an arsehole.
Is he some kind of weird musical Amish person? I'll use electronics, microelectronics, all sorts of things that essentially contain little computers, I just arbitrarily wont use something that looks like a computer with an OS.. you know one of those machines you can use do to *almost anything*.
The quality of production is down to the skill/talent of the person doing it + the amount of time and effort they put in. Everything else is just tools they may or may not use.
Sorry, I'm just so sick of hipsters shit like have you heard X's modular mix. Really every single synth he used was modular? Ok but I dont see why thats significant.

|
Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2018-02-13 ps. If a hi-hat sample is used then I guess its not a modular mix anymore

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2018-02-14 Yeah I am very pro tinkering. I think less I'm disapproving of this guy, and more just generally rankled by hipsters with their "no, its a *modular* mix, that means its better"
Hipsters are like the boogeyman on poetv and have been defined in many ways and accused of many heinous things. But here is another one; They're cultural / disciplinary tourists. They think that by buying the 'correct' things and saying the 'correct' things they are now a practitioner of a certain discipline, without having really investigated it at all for themselves.

Eh.. I used to live with a guy who chip tuned and circuit bent all sorts of things, including a furby choir, and has been doing it since Furbys came out (PLEASE DON'T VIEW LINK IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED EPILEPTIC SYMPTOMS OR ARE AT WORK)

Old_Zircon - 2018-02-13 I was going to say, this is basically the Furby Gurdy remade by the sort of person who can afford $10,000+ of synthesizer modules and support hardware (unless he built them all himself including the racks and that keyboard, in which case maybe $3000-$4000).
A sure way to get attention on Youtube is to own a bunch of stuff your viewers can't afford.
