JHM, the NPC thing of late is really dumb and I've been hearing it more and more too, but the term NPC goes way back and if you were a person who spent a lot of time playing video games you would get it without much explanation.

Another paradox about these people is that while they revile the center/left for being angry they gleefully celebrate everything Trump does that antagonizes their opponents> They don't seem to understand that when you piss off a lot of people, that leads to a lot of pissed off people. And the pissed off people are the majority. Intuitively, deliberately pissing off the majority of people seems like the opposite of leadership.

Here's what I think: maybe God exists, and has decided to destroy us. I'm not ruling that out, but if not, there will be a tipping point. Maybe Trump really is smarter than every economist. Or maybe he's really betrayed his followers, and when the economy finally runs out of Obama Juice, they're not going to be able to deny it any longer. It's gone on longer than I would have predicted, and it may go on too long for us to save ourselves. But it's not going to go on forever. It never does.

Not at all, that is exactly the prevailing narrative here. Mainstream left-center satire is really nothing more than butthurt rage, and we're the hilarious ones. Read the comments, they're all high fiving and congratulating themselves and each other on their great sense of humor. Stephen Colbert is the Big Brother hate hour.

It's not only not true, it's the exact opposite of the truth, isn't it? When I watch Colbert, it's usually so I can feel less angry. Let's remember that, according to some accounts, Trump's entire presidency is revenge for Obama making jokes about him at the White House correspondent's dinner. THAT's how much he can't take a joke.

Yeah, this always gets me. It's always like, "why does the media hate Trump so much?" Uh, because he put them in cages at his rallies and openly mocked them. Why does the CIA hate Trump? Uh, it's because he gave a speech congratulating himself for existing in front of a memorial wall dedicated to CIA agents killed in the line of duty. Why does half of America seem to dislike Trump? Because no sane person has ever said that he has a nice personality or likable presence. It's not that hard, people.
