"This is a real ecosystem."
Uh...it is? What? Animatronic plants and animals are not an ecosystem. That's imagination.
*gives up trying to teach science to anyone at Disney before my head explodes*

What's an Avatar?

No joke, if you ride the Disney Express from Orlando Airport to Disneyworld, Imaginear has a lengthy video lecture about what he does for a living on screens as you ride. It’s odd.

SolRo - 2018-12-12 They’ve finished principle photography on avatars 2 and 3

spikestoyiu - 2018-12-12 I didn't give a fuck about it in 2009 either

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2018-12-12 I dunno. I liked avatar. It was a big dumb blockbuster that was actually competently directed (without fukin' shaky-cam everything) not riddled by egregiously gaping plot holes or bafflingly broken screenplay.. which seems quite rare nowadays.
James Cameron tends to put a lot of 'cool stuff' in his movies which is fun..
I dont really classify that sort of thing as film, theyre more like audio-visual rollercoasters than films. but I'll probably check out those on tpb when I am hungover/ lazy and want something mindlessly diverting to beam into my headholes.
Also I searched for this video, cus there was a short clip of it in Jenny Nicholsons video about the park which she visited... Shes a theme park aficionado, and while acknowledging the folly of building it, she really liked it and thought they did the best job possible. Also the animal kingdom (or whatever) was apparently originally supposed to have a fantasy area to it, that was cut due budget. All Disney parks are apparently supposed to represent past, present, future, and fantasy.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2018-12-12 Oh yeah, and within that small clip I recognized our old friend 'imaginear'

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2018-12-12 btw I actually saw Avatar in the cinema with my family and my friends family when I was down for Christmas. We all enjoyed it and it was a nice familial experience.
Maybe that influencing my opinion.. I dont think I've seen it since.

SolRo - 2018-12-12 I saw it in theaters as well. Cameron did a good job with the 3D.

cognitivedissonance - 2018-12-14 It was a very strange movie. The Imperium of Mankind vs. Night Elves.

Jesus Christ. I can't imagine what it would do to your ego to have an army of engineers, artists, and tradesmen build an incredibly detailed and ingenious interpretation of your FernGully fan-fic.
