casualcollapse - 2019-01-27

Don't care, we're supposed to rip on the video not each other

gravelstudios - 2019-01-27

This game is really the only reason I intend to buy a switch. I'll just wait until then.

casualcollapse - 2019-01-27

Makes me sad I don't have my GameCube with Metroid prime to play again

Lef - 2019-01-27

So,

casualcollapse seems like a real twat, and I'm guessing you can tell what videos are from casualcollapse in the hopper.

How do you do that?

BTW: I love that when Nintendo fails at something, they roll out the project lead for a public apology.

casualcollapse - 2019-01-27

?

cognitivedissonance - 2019-01-27

He’s a sweetheart he just doesn’t get our project mission.

SolRo - 2019-01-27

It's an educated guess and not foolproof but describing the tells here would just make him change.

casualcollapse - 2019-01-28

Well you can't otherwise they wouldn't keep getting out

Xenocide - 2019-01-27

I don't get the people who are dumping on Nintendo for doing this. Are we not supposed to encourage developers to admit mistakes and try to fix them?

Anaxagoras - 2019-01-27

You really don't get why people are dumping on Nintendo?

This isn't "a mistake". This is a complete fuck-up. In Nintendo's judgement all the development work of the past 2 years has been utterly worthless. This is a project management fuck-up of colossal proportions.

Granted, if their developing game really is that bad it's better they do this than just push the current pile of crap out the door or simply cancel the project. But it's still a black eye for them, and people are right to give them shit for it.

William Burns - 2019-01-27

Sure would have been nice if someone at Bethesda had taken a look at FO76, canceled the project, apologized and repurposed the assets for a better Fallout game. Nintendo is a classy guy.

cognitivedissonance - 2019-01-27

Except.... Nintendo has done this before and it’s kind of their M.O. They typically do it when there’s a patent to be gulled. Nintendo brass takes a real plantation attitude. Look at the history of Rare and Square/Enix.

William Burns - 2019-01-27

Squenix left voluntarily because they wanted to make use of the Compact Disc format. Rare was purchased by Microsoft and went on to do nothing of any value.
