This is inevitably going to end with a giant space monster rampaging though Tokyo.

I say this everytime it comes up, and I'll say it again now.

Manned space travel beyond the moon is bullshit. The reason why we haven't gone to Mars is because we can't. There's a big hole in the dount, and nobody wants to admit it. I hope I don't sound like a conspiracy nut, but obviously, if they faked going to the moon, they could have faked going to Mars thirty years ago. They'd be faking trips to Neptune by now.

Now they're saying that they're going to send people to Mars and not bring them back, which is horrible, and people are lining up for it, because they're crazy. They couldn't solve the problem of getting people off the surface, so instead they going to solve the problem of fifty years of life support? Bullshit. BullSHIT!

I'm sure these challenges will be overcome someday, but I know for sure I'M not going. For decades people are complaining that we're not in space anymore, while unmanned space flight has been blowing the ceiling off everything, since the 70s. They sent a probe to Pluto. They discovered that Jupiter has 60 moons instead of 12. Space telescopes have discovered all kinds of crazy things about the universe that I can't understand even if I watch the documentary twice. Unmanned space flight is the shit.

I don't why Japan is shooting bullets at asteroids, but it sure is cool, and I'm sure it makes more sense than sending people to die on Mars.
