To be fully clear, the "earmites" tag is referring to Bloomberg. Worst case I ever seen.

jangbones - 2020-02-02

chance of Bloomberg running third party is between 99.9 percent and a hundred percent

To be fair, Wagging a Dog is pretty presidential.

Anaxagoras - 2020-02-02

Who doesn't know how to greet a fucking dog?

Bloomberg isn't human.

Bloomberg & Steyer are both in it to protect their hoarded wealth.

All this talk of a wealth tax from the Democrat candidate front runners is making them nervous.

If, by some miracle, Bloomberg or Steyer win, they'll do as Bill Clinton & Barack Obama did and as Hillary would have done. They'll shuffle the budget around and throw some scraps to social programs.

They won't allow any new taxes, especially on the wealthy & corporations. They won't rein them in, either. Things will get worse for the working class & poor.

Of course, I'm pretty sure Trump will win again. The Democratic party has been good at getting the Sanders & Warren supporters to turn on each other. All they have to do is put Biden, Sanders, Warren and a third progressive (doesn't matter which) on the primary ballot. Biden won't get as many votes as the other 3 combined, but he'll get the most votes of any candidate.

Biden can't defeat Trump. Of course, to be fair, I don't think any of the Democratic hopefuls can. But while one of the progressives would win the popular vote by a much wider margin than Hillary, throwing the unfairness of the system into sharper relief, I doubt Biden could even match Hillary's margin.

Well that really bummed me out. Sounds about right though.

I agree with everything you said about Bloomberg, but it's a bit conspiracy theory to think the Democrats are somehow forcing Biden and Warren to turn on each other. How exactly are they doing that? And what's the alternative — force one of the two of them to drop out early?

Trump got some of the lowest support of any presidential candidate ever in 2016 and he's in worse shape now. Not to say he couldn't still win but it's not a shoe in. He didn't win in 2016, Clinton lost. There's a difference.

Good thing that it wasn't a baby.
