Stores with big displays you could play always seemed to be the first to fail back then. Their prices seemed to be a couple dollars higher, probably thinking people would just buy them right there after playing.
People would hang around all day, playing the games, not buying anything, then go to the cheaper store to pick up whatever interested them.
That layout looks like 10% shelf space.
