I am one of those luddites that praises old fashioned cell animation, but this looks really dope. I guess the 3d style fits lupin better than most other japanimation.
My view is that it’s a result of the director and staff knowing how to adapt 2d movements and expressions to 3D models. They’re fluid but cartoon-y
And they did a great job avoiding the uncanny valley effect that can also happen when trying to recreate a known 2d character in 3D.
I think they could successfully adapt anything to 3D
