Fireworks start at the end of May and beginning of September around here, ya wussies.

Actually it really quieted down after the 4th more than usual, I think people got it out of their systems this year. I've only hear one small rocket so far today and it's almost 10 am.

I've been bunkered up in a cabin in the Poconos since March 8th, a couple weeks after fighting off a mercifully light dose of the virus.

for the last 5 years, up until this spring, about 1/3 of the houses were empty year round, now it is 100% full with a lot of houses having 3-4 cars in the driveway apiece.

Usually the 4th is a week long riot of top-end consumer grade fireworks, this year, almost completely silent, maybe like 10 brief rounds of the good stuff on the 4th itself and less than 10 in the week running up, nothing since. It's fucking eerie.

The fireworks never stop in my neighborhood.
