The point is that they are all villains and they are just putting on a show for you.

Democrats could force Republicans to go on-record about opposing covid relief literally days before an election. The reason they won't do this is because there is a better than average chance that the covid relief would pass, which may make Trump look better.

So instead we can all suffer until February at the very earliest, when I'm sure Democrats will have fresh excuses for inaction again anyway. Probably about the deficit or something.
