I saw Bronson Pinchot on the street in SF in 2002. He was walking on Sutter between Larkin and Polk. He was in town for a play he was doing at the time, called "Stones in His Pockets." I told him I read a review on the play in the SF Chronicle. He asked how the review was. I relayed that they focused on his struggles of being typecasted. He gave an irritated look and walked off.

I will always just think of him as the Crazy Yuppie from the Langoliers.

I have several audio books read by Pinchot and he does a damned fine job of it. He knows how to give each character a distinct voice and proper emotion.

It's sad he was typecast. It's clear looking at his body of work that he was actually a metered actor. The directors of Perfect Strangers got a classic character out of this very metered actor by pulling the wacky out more and more. Later in his career, Pinchot gets to play Stan Laurel and you get to see a little more of his calmer, metered humor. I'm a fan of him, wish he got more jobs.

I have also talked to people who said he was a real pain in the ass to work with. That may have something to do with it.

One of my favorite movies when I was 12. I had terrible taste.

I loved "Nothing But Trouble" so we all had terrible taste at that age

It wasn't a good movie, but it was way less terrible than many movies that have gotten more praise.

There's a ringing endorsement. I want that on the back cover now.

"Not as bad as it could be if it were a movie that was a little more terrible or got a little more praise, Second Sight is the GIFT that keeps on coming! With laughs galore as Bronson Pinchot...Bronson Pinchots his way through this wacky film. He's a little bit of a hippy and whole lot of heart! It's a comedy about a psychic detective agency who needs a psychic! This guy is a psychic! And John Larroquette stars as Guy Who Says Predictable Things when Wacky New Age Caricature is rolling his eyes! And if that's not enough, he's a superhero! Or something!" (cue electric guitar)
