It's all for the views, that's all anything is these days

SolRo - 2020-11-02

Who needs ethics when you’re rich?

Siebenstein - 2020-11-02

Did he ask about Sandy Hook?

Cena_mark - 2020-11-02

Itd be cool if Rogan grilled himnover the decaded of bullshit he spat, but Joe just giggles with the extremists he hosts.

Crackersmack - 2020-11-05

he did actually and they both admitted that Alex was wrong

exy - 2020-11-02

5 for guaranteed unwatchability. I'm not even gonna try.

TeenerTot - 2020-11-02

seconded.

SolRo - 2020-11-02

You don’t want to watch the equivalent of a mindless Facebook idiot reading agitprop?

Anaxagoras - 2020-11-02

Oh, Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe. You're such a good interviewer, but then you go & do this like this.

God damnit.

Two Jar Slave - 2020-11-03

A good interviewer anticipates and asks the questions that a listener would ask. He puts you in the room with the guest. By comparison, Joe Rogan is good at platforming controversial figures and bending every conversation back to himself. He is a dog shit interviewer, but a first-rate social media personality and influencer. It's still fine to like him because you find him charming, but he's not good media by any other standard.

Nominal - 2020-11-04

Joe Rogan is to podcasting what Penny Arcade is to web comics: baseline mediocrity personified, propelled to stardom on the sole merit of having gotten into the medium at its inception.

And continuing to exist on the backs of gullible, gullible fans.

themilkshark - 2020-11-03

These guys are basically fops who make a living off of stupidity.

Marlon Brawndo - 2020-11-03

It doesn't fucking matter what their opinions are or that they are publicly allowed to voice them. Free speech should never be stifled.

The employees at Spotify are spoiled, oversensitive fucking babies. Oh boo hoo someone is talking and you don't like it. Waahhhhhhhhh. Well then make your own goddamn show. Voice your own goddamn opinions. That's how you combat stupid opinions.

OH NOES SOMEONE MIGHT BELIEVE ALEX JONES. Yes, and if you silence him those people will feel like empowered martyrs and you'll feed their conspiracy bullshit. I cannot believe how fucking stupid all of these people are. Alex Jones is a fat sack of shit but I don't care if Joe Rogan interviews him. I don't care what either one of them say. They have the right to say whatever they want. The anti free speech crowd are just as blithering with their nonsensical views of oppressing speech. Fuck all of Spotify's overprivileged, infantile staff of preening, holier than thou, virtue signalling, egotistical fascists.

I despise people who want to shut down free speech as much as I hate Alex Jones' bloated, self important cunt face.

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2020-11-03

You've got a right to say whatever you want, but nobody owes you a platform. When you have a show like Joe Rogan does, you're responsible for the people you put on and the questions you ask them. It's not illegal to give Alex Jones exposure -- and it shouldn't be -- but it's essentially a dereliction of journalistic practice to do so.

You can't force people to believe what you believe, and you can't ban people's opinions, but you can marginalize them. This is why KKK members are not welcome at the Wall Street Journal and why Joe Rogan should not interview, say, Richard Spencer. To do so would be irresponsible, and, though not illegal, wrong.

Nominal - 2020-11-04

You reach a certain point where not giving someone a platform can be marked off as "and nothing of value was lost".

Alex Jones passed that line a long, long time ago.

Cena_mark - 2020-11-05

The Spotify employees are merely expressing their First Amendment protected opinions. Go to Russia if you can't respect that.

Crackersmack - 2020-11-05

They are, and this video is Rogan shoving their bullshit back into their own faces, and they just have to sit and take it since Rogan is clearly the #1 draw to spotify by a huge margin.

Marlon Brawndo - 2020-11-05

They are free to voice their opinions but they want more than that. They could have released a statement talking about their displeasure but instead they want to end Joe Rogan's ability to publicly interview who he wants.

That's what this woke movement wants. It wants to take the right to publicly discuss things away from people they deem as enemies. They don't value free speech at all. They want to silence people. I'm against that 100%. I hate Alex Jones. I want him to have a show if people listen to him and want to listen to him. If you take that away, who's next? Who gets to decide who is allowed to have a platform and who doesn't? The social media companies?

The problem is if the situation were reversed and they were going after a crazy leftist, what would your reaction be? EXACTLY. There would be protests full of people flipping their absolute shit over not having a platform. Always different when the shoe is on the other foot. Silencing people is un American period.

Remember how Jerry Springer brought on Neo Nazis and took shit for doing so? Those shows were great. The audience booed them and gave them shit and screamed at them, got to watch a man in an occasional fist fight with a racist. It got called trash television but that shit was important because you got to see these people for what they are. They had the chance to make an argument and everyone in the country was disgusted and it actually makes people less likely to be racist when you see how fucking stupid those people are, how stupid their arguments are.

It irritates me to no end that there are people that don't understand that when you ban people, when you ban ideas you don't like, you make those ideas more appealing. There is an anti authority streak in a certain segment of the populace that will automatically veer towards whatever you tell them they aren't allowed to do, think, or say. You want those people to find Alex Jones to be some kind of folk hero, then keep shutting him down. That's the only impact this will have.

Crackersmack - 2020-11-05

You all are such pussies.

The guy who's scared to death of a voting booth.

Crackersmack - 2020-11-05

nah I voted, for Howie Hawkins

teethsalad - 2020-11-05

kill yourself

SolRo - 2020-11-05

Has the DNC called you yet to take notes about how you want the party ran?

Crackersmack - 2020-11-05

Every house candidate backed by the DCCC and Pelosi's "red to blue" program lost. Every one of them. That was a two year long project that had hundreds of millions of dollars behind it. They all lost.

Meanwhile, DSA won 26 out of 30 races that they endorsed candidates in.

Crackersmack - 2020-11-05

14 states now have some form of a DSA caucus in their legislatures!

And how are big-dollar centrist projects like Amy McGrath doing? You should look at the scoreboard Sol

SolRo - 2020-11-05

I’m asking if your righteous protest voting has gotten the nations attention THIS time.

Is the MSM lining up outside your shack to find out how you want the country to behave?

Marlon Brawndo - 2020-11-05

I voted for Jo Jorgensen. Fee free to release your rage LOL. :) :) :)
