Yeah but the problem with this is that the Republicans can screech all they want, it shouldn't matter. Democrats should be able to deliver, at the very least, the explicit campaign promises that they made to get into power just purely out of a desire for self-preservation.

I've never seen Hamilton, so I don't know how smart I am, but maybe spending $90 million dollars to lose by 20 points is a waste of money that could have been directed elsewhere? Maybe the people getting paid a lot of money to blow through cash and lose in Maine, South Carolina, West Virginia, etc. are more interested in their particular grift than in winning races?

You don't have to throw anything at Manchin you just have to threaten to take him off his committees and he'd fold in a second, but as of this morning The Hill is reporting that nobody from the office of the POTUS has even contacted him to try to negotiate for his vote. So it's pretty clear what is happening here.

Economic collapse certainly helped Trump, but the economy was recovering in 16. The truth is that we're lucky to be rid of Trump, if we are in fact rid of Trump, and if we are rid of Trump, it's because Joe Biden beat him.

The beauty part is that the Republicans are still stuck with him. The GOP is dangerous now because they're in trouble. They're a minority, and Trump is exacerbating that by his antics of massaging the base and alienating everyone else.
