Of course I take this with a grain of salt but wishful thinking on my end

Lef - 2021-03-13 serious question, but why? Is it because your holding, or is it a more meta reason?

Bitcoin was a bet that some people won. Not everyone will win. That's the beauty of the smarmy ass smarmketplaaaace.

Oh no, how will we do all the things we need bitcoin for? Like buying drugs on the dark web. And... I can't think of a second thing.
Having a trillion dollars of value in something only valuable as a medium of exchange, despite it not being a useful medium of exchange, seems like a speculative bubble that's just waiting to explode and wreck shit, but what do I know.
casualcollapse - 2021-03-16 Somehow I feel your lack of understanding is relevant to your general disinterest in the median
ashtar. - 2021-03-16 I'm open to being wrong about this, if you've got an explanation of the reason bitcoin is not purely speculative.
SolRo - 2021-03-16 Bitcoin advocates now say it’s just a speculative investment device (the new gold!). Even they’ve dropped all pretense of claiming it would replace national currencies. Because Bitcoin is way too volatile and slow to use as currency in legitimate markets.
ashtar. - 2021-03-16 Why not just use beanie babies for you speculative investment device, as nature intended.
SolRo - 2021-03-16 I can’t spew random techno jargon to make beanie babies sound impressive to people who don’t know about them.
