This is neat. Would be wonderful to see Ghana and Ivory Coast form a proper block (when we do it it's a "block", when others do it it's a "cartel"), like a delicious miniature OPEC. Swiss companies have been winking at child labor and deforestation for ages; maybe local control will help.

Pretty good for a show speech. I wish Canada would adopt a similar idea w.r.t. raw material exports. We're way better off than Ghana but in many ways just as dependent on bigger foreign powers (namely the US) buying our oil, rocks, and trees.
