Binro the Heretic - 2021-03-31
Some asshole came in our store wearing a mask made of tulle or some other sheer fabric and it put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day.
I didn't say anything to him because I know it would only have delighted him. I'm sure he also has a "fuck your feelings" shirt in his wardrobe.
I'm saving up to buy an Air by MicroClimate. i hope to have one by my birthday. It's basically a space helmet with a HEPA filter and rechargeable vent fans. It lets me go without a mask covering my face but still enjoy protection.
Last year was the first year in my lifetime that I did not catch a cold. I usually average about 2 upper respiratory infections a year. Masks WORK. If I can help it, I'm NEVER going out in public without protection ever again.
And I can guarantee people like Mister Fishnet Stocking Mask will give me shit for wearing my space helmet.

SolRo - 2021-03-31 Razr is planning to make an active mask that covers only part of you face. I may get it depending on cost and availability

Hazelnut - 2021-03-31 @Binro same here, ironically I've never been so healthy through the winter. Masks work! I see why they got so popular in East Asia, and definitely plan to stick with the habit (and related ones like the frequent hand washing).
I'm lazy though, sticking with boxes of cheapo masks from the pharmacy.

simon666 - 2021-04-05 Before covid, I got into a good hand washing routine and I avoided getting a flu or the common cold for like 7 years. Hand washing frequently and not touching your face unless you've washed is huge.

garcet71283 - 2021-04-07 I've worked in industrial food manufacturing for the past 16 years and the only year I got sick regularly was a 1 year stint away from the industry doing something else.
It was the handwashing, it works. It's the single biggest thing you can do to keep yourself and others healthy.
