The Karen phenomenon is about subtle racism, but they made their villain an over the top movie racist. Over the top movie racists are a reason why most racists don't think they're racists. They might deny that the criminal justice system is racist and think the new red-state voting restrictions are fine, and then they'll watch Driving Miss Daisy or the Green Book and say, "That's not me. They're racist. I don't use the N word like that. They're the racists!"
