Proud Boys are part of a long legacy of RW paramilitary groups. If American institutions become destabilized enough, they could be asked to conduct violence on behalf of demagogues.

And just because they are a bunch of dorks, do not underestimate. Who do you think killed all those people in Argentina and Indonesia? A lot of ugly loser dudes who could not make eye contact with a woman.
