Nobody experiences being intubated. You tell them they're going to be sedated for intubation and then they whisper their last words, usually something along the lines of "Please don't let me die."
If r/HermanCainAward has taught me anything, it's that there isn't a thimble's worth of originality among these people. "99% survival rate." "Straight out of the Nazi playbook." "New World Order." "Mark of the Beast." "Vaccines is yellow stars." They are always just parroting what the other dumbshit said on Facebook.
Oh, the other thing I learned is most of this crowd will be dying on ventilators in the next few months. The ones still conscious often continue sharing memes even as Delta rapes their lungs and shuts down their kidneys.
The HCA sub is just wild. It's amazing to see this jerkwads go fro utter defiance to utter passivity in a few hours once the bad news stars rolling in.
So many HCA recipients seem like utterly horrible humans on facebook that, quite frankly, I find myself not feeling so bad about their passing more often than I'd like to admit.
I feel very bad for their families and friends. Death is awful, and I realize that more the older I get and the more people and pets I lose.
What's sad about the HCA recipients is that it was so easily preventable, yet they chose the equivalent of playing Russian Roulette and saying, "See? I'll take my 17%, Adolf Fauci."
