I think one of the full length episodes revealed she had an infinite number of clones to replace her whenever she died.

When you have death prone assassins, you keep a couple clones handy.

they're just animation shorts with a vaguely reoccuring themes/characters. don't worry your nerdy little head about continuity and timelines and such.

i always figured it was simply a reoccurring character in otherwise unrelated episodes. i mean, sometimes the setting was completely different. i remember two that she survived, one had her in the real world to become a soccer mom (seriously), the other sent her billions of years into the future. i say that they have nothing to do with each other.
