The video seems heavily segmented and choppy, as though it was extensively spliced together and edited.
If that's the case, that's rough - the joke's 3/4 improv...
the movie this clip appears in has each joke teller's joke kind of spliced up throughout the movie for when each part of the joke is inspected. in the case for this video, the editor took all the gottfried clips and put them all together.
I couldn't finish the movie because of that - some of the worst editing I've ever seen. The special features were great, though, since they were mostly unedited footage of comedians telling the joke (which is what I was hoping this would be)
I've never thought this joke was any funny but Saget made it funnier (and grosser). Also, I've never seen The Aristocrats but after seeing these two clips I don't think I'm ever going to.
I don't know why I love Gilbert Gottfried so much. I just do. That editing technique is not really splicing... it's just a way to shave off some seconds
Gottfried is the king of dirty jokes. My favorite: "I was fucking my wife the other night and I said: 'You've got a tight cunt and no tits.' She said 'Get off my back.'"
I'm not sure how the editing would work through the whole movie, but for this segment it makes it seem as though Gottfried were rambling on and on and they, the people making and editing this movie, have had to cut it down. And somehow that just works for it.
