How would YOU know?
Bebido - 2007-09-25
I never played mech three or the mech4 black knight expansion. What has that to do with this video though you ask?
Caminante Nocturno - 2007-09-25
I wasn't very good at this game. In fact, I could never get past the stage in this video, no matter what I tried.
Portaxx - 2007-09-25
The writer of this game must be the greatest human being in the history of civilization. This is a fact. We all know it.
Roachbud - 2007-09-25 I'd say he's about 100 millionth on the list
Roachbud - 2007-09-25 Eat a dick, video game designers just make entertainment. All I was saying is artists, good politicians and Jesus beat their asses. Damnit, I'm 23, give me some time to move up the list. I'd rather smoke a jay with Socrates than hang out with whatever douchebag invented this game. Cock gobblers.
Roachbud - 2007-09-25 On second thought, he's not 100 millionth, he's way below that, because he has given wastes of spaces like you something to take your minds off of the obvious answer to all your problems: suicide.
Roachbud - 2007-09-25 Dude, seriously, like sarcasm or something, you must have like been like one of those teenagers at one point
Repomancer - 2007-09-25 Roachbud, son, the author of the game was yours truly.
Roachbud - 2007-09-25 Seriously though, I was just making the point that it's just a game and while it's a big accomplishment and all, it doesn't make someone the best person who ever lived. I defend myself because arguing with people I've never seen nor ever will on the internet is fun, it works out my frustrations after a day sucking dick in the world of journalism.
Aelric - 2007-09-27 wow, roachbud. you sure like to brag about your drug usage. reminds me of a little rule to the universe i noticed a while back: those who brag usually don't have much to honestly brag about.
i'm guessing you educated yourself from various internet articles and the something awful forums, thereby allowing you to name drop philosophers without actually reading anything expansive on them. am i getting close?
what will truly cure your unbridled, and frankly, unfocused anger is the healing power of love. you need a hug, and i'm just the man to give it to you.
i hope you never leave. by far, you are the funniest guy here in ways you never intended, considering that you seem to be trying to be all edgy and shit.
manfred - 2007-09-25
This game taught me the important concepts of honor, fidelity and fraternity.
sammitch - 2007-09-25
more of a mechs mercs guy myself
Meatsack Jones - 2007-09-25
Obviously a freeborn mech patrol from the whining.
I too was more a Mercs player. I miss my days in CSA on NBT4.
Aelric - 2007-09-25
I was more a mercs guy as well, although i gotta say, in the end, i liked 3 better. the mouse interface was a needed step. then they fucked it all up on 4.
is this license abandoned? i mean for true mechwarrior games, not mechassult.
vecctor - 2007-09-25 FASA Interactive (owned by Microsoft) is shut down, but Microsoft still owns the interactive licenses. We can only hope they make another real Mechwarrior game (and of course after that hope that it doesn't suck, but first things first).
Meatsack Jones - 2007-09-26 It will, can you say Mechwarrior Dark Age? 10 to 1 that will be the next focus.
Mike Tyson?! - 2007-09-25
This game came bundled with my IBM Aptiva in 1995, never got past the first stage.
glasseye - 2007-09-25
I bought this shortly after it came out, and sometime later I got a 3D accelerated version with my 2MB Matrox Mystique video card. The game looked amazing (back then), but unfortunately the accelerated version was super buggy and always crashed after a few minutes.
Spider Jerusalem - 2007-09-25
Cool, but Mercs has the best into.
"Look at the bright side, kid. You get to keep all the money."
vecctor - 2007-09-25
The intro to MW4 was better, but anything out of the Classic Battletech universe gets 5 stars on principle.
zatojones - 2007-09-25 Yeah I never liked the shift of focus to the Clans
Repomancer - 2007-09-25 The Clans thing was because FASA was starting to feel the legal heat from Japan that eventually drove them out of business.
The (as yet incomplete) saga begins here:

Several chunks are in the forum, if you dig around.
Aelric - 2007-09-27 did you really help create this game, repo? if that's true, than you are about the coolest guy i don't really know.
Repomancer - 2007-09-30 Aelric -

Spastic Avenger - 2008-07-02 You know there's a massive argument on youtube about the Wolf Mechwarrior's uses of contractions, and the lack of quiaff and quineg?
Afgh - 2007-09-26
The amazing part is that Repo coded this movie in assembly language. No 3D rendering application was involved.
baleen - 2007-09-29
I don't think I ever played this, but I always wanted this game. If I remember correctly, wasn't MW1 2D?
Repomancer - 2007-09-30 MW1 was 3D, and a good game. It was done by Dynamix before they were absorbed by Sierra.
Mayberry Pancakes - 2007-10-05
I remember every single one of my guy friends absolutely losing their heads over this game.
Doctor Arcane - 2007-11-26
To this very day, when ever someone txts me or leaves me voice-mail it says "Incoming Message" in the bitchin betty voice from this very game. A dork is me.
Vicious - 2008-02-10
I had the action figure version of that small mech and one similar to the bigger one. They had ejection seats and everything. God I wish I still had those.
rustedmutt - 2008-03-17
I have this game. I love this game. I am a woman.
Is it a bad thing that I love this game?
poopskin - 2008-03-19
what IS your situation?
Spastic Avenger - 2008-07-02
This was my introduction to Battletech, and I suppose its why I love the Clans but everybody else hates them.
Gwago - 2008-10-28
Man this game was awesome. Too bad it's so archaic that nothing these days can run it.
