Perfect cutoff point on the clip, too

I have a CD someone from Starbucks gave me of the music from this special. It has Charlie Brown and the gang, and a big 'ol Starbucks logo on it... ("Have yourself, a very corporate Christmas") ... I was like "meh ok thanks"... and put it away for a few years, still shrinkwrapped.

One year I happened to think of it, and I busted it out and played it on Christmas morning and it was unbelievably perfect. It made Christmas feel like when I was a kid again. Whoever did the music for this is a damn genius. For reals. 5 stars for that alone. Another 5 stars for awesome childhood nostalgia.

Grab this CD before Christmas, and put it on while you're unwrapping gifts. Make everyone cocoa for mega bonus points.

Mudpuppy - 2007-12-15

vince guaraldi trio made it, and it's just about the only christmas music I'll tolerate.

cognitivedissonance - 2007-12-15

When I was a wee tyke, elementary school, Vince Guaraldi came to my school and did a performance of the Charlie Brown Christmas music. I had no idea who he was at the time, but I enjoyed it. When I finally figured out who it was, in my late teens, I realized I had witnessed something truly beautiful.

Evilhead - 2007-12-15

I was asked to do a small radio show about Christmas in a mid-size Japanese city a couple weeks ago. They asked me to bring in some music, so I played several tracks off the album. It really is the only Christmas music I can tolerate these days.

Innocent Bystander - 2007-12-15

Yes, Vince Guaraldi is totally awesome. Carry on.

Evilhead - 2007-12-17

cognitivedissonance, that is fucking awesome. Considering the guy died so young and is one of my musical heroes I am truly happy that you were able to witness such a thing.

KnowFuture - 2007-12-15

One of my favorite things from the comic strip or the TV specials was always the parts with Charlie Brown ruminating under a starry sky.

dr_rock - 2007-12-15

Yeah.. remember when you were a kid and you could actually see stars in the sky at night? Now I have to drive 100 miles away to see them.

dr_rock - 2007-12-15

Also, did anyone else read the title as "Leenoose Explains Christmas", as in Torvalds? I have to go re-evaluate my life now. Bye!

The two pronunciations are always superpositioned over one another until observation causes one of the waveforms to emerge.

Unmerciful Crushing Force - 2007-12-15

How does this voice acting just feel so perfect.

Linus then wound up changing his name to Garrison and moved on to a successful stint in radio.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2007-12-15

The voice acting for this really was perfect, and it's what gets most of my stars.

garcet71283 - 2007-12-15

The stuff of legend.

IrishWhiskey - 2007-12-15

This is Epic.

Funnily enough, the Scrubs version of this is also Epic, even though I don't like that show.

theFlu - 2007-12-15

IrishWhiskey - 2007-12-15

Even the Rwandan genocide.

jrr - 2007-12-15

Lights, please.

theFlu - 2007-12-15

Anybody remember the Rwandan genocide in the 90's?

IrishWhiskey - 2007-12-15

Were you dropped on your head as a baby or something?

FeeFiFoFoTheFifeFifeBrown - 2007-12-15

Congratulations on maybe the worst PoE TV comment ever.

thebaronsdoctor - 2007-12-15

See, I told you they'd come!

bang to buck ratio - 2007-12-15

Dooo they know it's Chriiistmaaas

PS: you are ridiculous

tamago - 2007-12-16

theFlu is an ADHD riddled teenager with an inferiority complex. That is the only logical explanation for his comments on here. I've not seen one shred of evidence to contradict this.

Xenocide - 2007-12-15

As close to a perfect Christmas special as you're ever likely to see. To me this forms a holy trinity of Christmas specials with Mickey's Christmas Carol and Chuck Jones' Grinch, which get watched each year at my house.

Also: PlushJake, what the hell is wrong with you?
