I miss the old Disney, before the feminism and the multicultural garbage

a flaming monkey - 2008-01-23 You say it sucks because Walt Disney didn't like it?
That's why I love you poenerds, so stubborn and critical for the most obscure reasons.
I hope the song is stuck in your head for all eternity.

I like Alice in Wonderland. Didn't know it was already the Edgy McHipster pants time to start hating on it.

Is that really the way you see the world?
This was not a very good Disney film. Sure, maybe it's not terrible by other standards of animation, but it's really a let down. Disney started losing it with Cinderella.
There was just nothing to compare those earlier masterpieces. This movie is rather like Paul Klee giving up real painting in the 50's and just deciding to decorate office building lobbies with (kind of pleasant but phoned in) paint splatterings.

a flaming monkey - 2008-01-24 But why is it a bad Disney film? Do you think that animating the story is some kind of insult to Carroll? If so, you must be British or something.
In my opinion this is the best adaptation possible. The voice acting is excellent, the musical score is great, and the animation is wonderful by today's standards.
I mean, come on! The cheshire cat for fuck's sake!!!! Timeless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I just disagree. My mom is English, and yes she hates this film too. Maybe her telling me how bad it was when I was 8 has something to do with it, but I really think in all objectivity it's not very good.
I don't think this is a good adaptation. There is no darkness in this version of the story, which was quite a dark story.

Marc Davis' second best character design work, after the animatronics in the Haunted Mansion.
