I'm kind of weirded out that there are seriously a dozen of these things on youtube.
What was that camera, and how was it interfaced? It certainly wasn't the HiTechnic color sensor.
I love how much ingenuity goes into solving this completely unnecessary problem.
This is why you do what you do

Modulo the excessively nippled alter ego

I'm withholding my rating until I find out it the robot really solved the cube or if they ran the video backwards.
Well either the robot did it forwards or the guy solved it running backwards

Dr. Lobotomy
I'd wait until they show the robot solve it several times with different people randomizing the cube differently.

Given that there appear to be at least two other robots that can do the exact same thing and have virtually identical designs, I'm gonna go ahead and say it's pretty plausible.

You gotta give it up for Lego and the whole Mindstorms thing. There are some really neat creations out there. Plus they always had a great interactive website, even way back in the beginning. Most toy companies just reskin their product each year based on the hottest movie.

The next thing you know, they'll start "solving" humans.
