Caminante Nocturno - 2008-03-29

Yeah, the music was pretty hit-and-miss, but the movies were awesome.

rhythm rider - 2008-03-29

what are you talking about? Robocop has one of the most epic scores ever, one of Basil Paledouris' best. Maybe it seems "hit or miss" when you watch it out of context. something there is no reason to do.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-03-29

I was talking about the 80's.

rhythm rider - 2008-03-29

please accept my sincere apology

Tom Collins - 2011-05-04

ROBOCOP

Aelric - 2008-03-29

bang bang

roll credits

no aftermath necessary.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-03-29

Why have I never seen this movie?? That was beautiful.

FeeFiFoFoTheFifeFifeBrown - 2008-03-29

Beats me, dude. Do do it.

SolRo - 2008-03-29

You just can't stop proving your stupidity, can you rodents?

dueserpenti - 2008-03-29

You've never seen Robocop? How old are you? Where did you grow up? If the answer to the first question is "old enough to have eyes" and the answer to the second is "Earth," I don't know how you could possibly have avoided seeing this movie. Get out of my sight and don't come back until you've seen Robocop.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-03-30

My mother called it "unwholesome" growing up and I never got around to watching it. No particular reason.

Yeah, SolRo, I'm stupid because I've never seen a film about a cyborg blowing shit up. I'm surprised I can tie my own shoelaces!

SolRo - 2008-03-30

yes

SharoKham - 2008-05-18

Sorry, 'dents, but I think SolRo wins this round.

oddeye - 2014-03-29

Pretty sure Robocop was mandatory viewing for anyone over 5 in the known world. Report yourself for this violation.

elm axo - 2008-03-29

Robocop is awesome..
Also those two badguys at the start epitomise creppy 80's movies villans

OgreMkIV - 2008-03-29

AND "Red" Foreman from "That 70's Show" is a baddy to boot!

Can Detroit actually be that far away from this?

oddeye - 2014-03-29

That's 70s Show damn near undid all his good work.

1394 - 2008-03-29

Best movie from the 80's hands down.

Jimmy Labatt - 2008-03-29

Ronny Cox makes such a kickass villain

Aoi - 2008-03-29

The thought that there may be a generation that didn't know him as Clarence Boddiker before they knew him as Red Foreman haunts me at night.

Aoi - 2008-03-29

Damnit. Well, Ronny Cox was awesome as well, but I stand by my point about Kurtwood Smith.

Hodge - 2008-03-29

-1 star because it doesn't have that awesome scene where a bad guy crashes his van into a container of toxic waste.

Hands down my favorite scene in Robocop.

manfred - 2008-03-29

Verhoeven has a dual major PhD in mathematics and physics. He wrote his thesis on the theory of relativity.

Sudan no1 - 2008-03-29

Suddenly Showgirls makes sense.

mouser - 2008-03-29

That dicky thumbs up at the end merits the 5 stars.

AgentOrange - 2008-03-29

Love the dude at the board table who gets up excitedly as evil dude is being shot.

RandomFerret - 2008-03-29

He's got good reason to be happy. He was the first black guy on screen in the film, and he made it to the end without dying.

FABIO2 - 2008-03-29

Actually I think he was in line to inherit the villain's position.

HURF BLURF DUH - 2008-03-29

Gotta love a 78-story skyscraper that has floor-length windows made of glass that you can just stumble into and it shatters into 5 million pieces.

Mike Tyson?! - 2008-03-29

OCP had some obvious budget cuts, using cheap windows was one of the many compromises in order to fund the creation of cyborg police officers.

They obviously made the right decision.

delicatessen - 2008-03-29

I would buy many things for a dollar.

Millard - 2008-03-29

This makes me so happy.

Blaise - 2008-03-29

This movie has the best ensemble of character actors ever. This time I noticed Ray Wise as the crane operator.

Also, wish they were fired like that on Celebrity Apprentice.

FABIO2 - 2008-03-29

So instead of just taking the clear shot at Robocop with the cobra gun, the guy ops to instead take a longer time gambling that he won't notice the noisy crane and just happen to stand in the right spot and the heap of scrap metal being fatal?

FABIO2 - 2008-03-29

Fact: my national guard friend got to train with those Red Man padded hand to hand training suits. He said they spent the whole time screwing around, walking around like Robocop making machine noises as everyone else harmlessly bludgeoned them with batons.

SolRo - 2008-03-29

fabio is a joyless tool that has to have every single bit of entertainment be flawlessly realistic

FABIO2 - 2008-04-13

Poking fun at ridiculous 80s action movie logic is great entertainment!

Solro is just pissed because Robocop is smarter and more clever about social commentary than any of his precious anime (which is mostly just crappy knockoffs of superior 70s and 80s american movies anyways).

Vicious - 2008-04-18

Fabio, shut up.

FABIO2 - 2008-05-24

No ^_^

Camonk - 2010-01-16

Phew, okay, good. SolRo lost that one. It's bad for everybody if people are forced to back SolRo up.

Crucifried - 2008-04-20

Never has a robot saying "Murphy" inspired such happiness with humanity.

Sphinx - 2012-03-29

The greatest movie of the 80s.

Adham Nu'man - 2013-03-29

Buffy.
