I feel it's time to reveal that Poetv and I share a special connection. I wasn't going to say anything. But If some random scene from a move pops into my head, it ends up on Poe within a day or two. No matter how obscure. It's beginning to frighten me.
This is like the fifth time.

Dicknuts - 2008-04-11 Oh, and now I remember why I was playing this scene over in my head as I took a shower this morning. The implication that one of the greatest guitarists/performers/songwriters of all time, who happened to be black, aped his whole shtick from a white high school kid.

I hate this movie so much. I have my reasons.

Man, the Simpsons and Family Guy can remake this scene 1000 times and I'll still laugh.

This answers the question of how rock and roll got into the hands of black people, however, how did McFly get it? I suspect that porcelain-white nearly translucent visitors from a planet comprised of frozen methane orbiting a white dwarf sun brought him this marvelous gift.

Cinnamon Imperialist - 2008-04-12 You're all missing the point. Mcfly hears Chuck Berry in the present, goes to the past, and inadvertently teaches Chuck Berry rock and roll in the first place. It's a feedback loop.

jesustweak - 2008-04-12 I see, perhaps the perturbation starts simply as a noise fluctuation in the quantum vacuum. Then after a near infinite number of time travel driven passes through the feedback loop, rock and roll is born. This is cool by me, so long as white people made the time machine.
