God damn creepy episode.....I remember when I first saw this as a kid.

The cool thing is, that is pretty much exactly what they did during the cold war, they made nuclear war so horrible that only a madman would begin it, the common enemy was pretty much nuclear annihilation.

Well, they sure did try. And its not like they grabbed some poor bastard and forced it on him.

You'd really, REALLY have to love this country to do -that- to yourself.

This episode absolutely scared the shit out of me when I was 13. I saw it while visiting family that lived out in the middle of a farming area, where everything was really dark and empty.

It holds up remarkably well for its age.
